New Years Resolutions

I just thought it would be nice if I put down my New Years Resolutions. So lets just get right into it!

 

 

 

1) Do my homework earlier: don't procrastinate as much... This will just cause me less stress and it will help with the next resolution!


2) Go to bed at a better time! I started procrastinating so much that it got to a point that I started to do my homework at like ten at night.... meaning I fell asleep at like 12 or 1 in the morning. Leaving me with maybe 5 hours of sleep on a school night.


3) Stay with the animal cruelty free and paraben free makeup, meaning no more buying makeup that have parabens or from companies that test on animals.

December Favorites

There are not many favorites this month because of my project 10 pan again... Oh well, lets get into it shall we?

 

 

Face and Eyes:

Nyc Sunny Bronzer: I really got into contouring this month, It was nice and I hope I stick with it. This is a great and the only complaint I can come up with is that NYC tests on animals and that is has parabens.

 

Wet N Wild Brulee: This is a great highlight, I even hit pan! It is perfect also for my skin tone because it is almost my exact skin tone I guess. Only downside if that it has parabens so I will miss it when it is gone... :(

 

 Lips:

Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in Pink Ice: I really love this formula of lipgloss, it feels fantastic and I really have been liking pairing this lipgloss with the elf lipstick that I will talk about next. See, this month I kinda got into more nude/ light/ natural lips and these two things were great for that. Only downside is that Revlon may test on animals... and idk if this has parabens... sorry.

 

E.l.f Mineral Lipstick in Runway Pink: This is a fantastic nudy pink color and they great thing about e.l.f and their mineral line is that it doesn't have parabens and e.l.f doesn't test on animals either. I really just enjoyed this lipstick and lipgloss combo... yeah...

My Thoughts and Feelings on a few things

I want to do this to clear some things up. This  will be thoughts on a few things. I will try not to say too much, and try to keep it short. If you have any question please ask. And I would just like to say that this is how I think about this stuff, you can think what ever you want, I won't judge you, so please don't judge me.

 

 

Parabens:

I don't know if these really truthfully lead to breast cancer, but I am gonna use up the stuff that I own that have parabens and try to not buy anything with parabens from here on out. I am not just gonna throw away the stuff I own that have parabens. Also, though if I really want to try something that has parabens, I may let it slide. But not if they test.

 

 

Animal Testing:

I don't agree with it, so if the company test on animals I won't buy from them anymore. I will use up what I own from companys that test, oh and if it is unsure if they test or not, I will have to assume that they do test... sadness

 

 

Companies that don't test owned from companies that do:

This is new and different for me, I would think that if a company is owned by another company that tests that I won't buy from them. But, I might change that because I read something on peta's website saying to continue to buy from companies that don't test even if their parent company does. Do this and hopefully their parent company will see that they get more sales and profit if they don't test, then they stop animal testing. I think I agree with that... so I think I will do that.

 

 

This is how I am thinking at the moment, thoughts change, so who knows. For now I am happy with this though.

Sad news for me and Revlon and My Revlon Collection!

I have decided to not buy anything from Revlon.

 

Why? Because there is a chance that they test on animals and they arn't coming out about it. So basically they are being shady.

 

Anyway... here is my revlon collection!

Quick Update

I did order something from Tartes Friends and Family sale, but I don't count it agaisn't my project 10 pan though. I don't count it against because of the sale and some of the stuff were limited edition. Two of the things weren't, but I got them because of the sale and I have been wanting them for a while now. I am really excited to do a haul on them :) I might wait until after my project pan and not open them and things until after I finish it. What do you guys think?

Top 10 Nail Polishes

I thought it would be kinda nice if I did a top ten nail polish post. This is just in colors, I don't remember much about formulas... slash I don't care too much about that... anyway, on to the post!

 

 

 

Essie's Go Overboard, Sinful Colors Blue By You, Wet n Wild Disturbia, Opi Mrs. Olery's BBQ

Same order as above, these are pretty true to color. Just want to point out that Disturbia is a really dark purple while Mrs. Olerys BBQ is like a really deep plumy color. Not as purple as Disturbia

Sinful Colors Ruby Ruby, China Glaze Riveting (hunger games collection), Opi My Address is Hollywood

Pretty true to color again, just Ruby Ruby is a bit more of a true red.

China Glaze Stone Cold(hunger games), Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet, China Glaze Argo (Hunger games)

I would say this is true to color also... and would like to point out Stone Cold is matte.

November Favorites

 

Just want to say there aren't many favorites this month seeing as I am doing a project 10 pan...

 

Nails

 

Burt's Bees' Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream: This is quite new to me, but I like it so far. I do, it does smell like lemons, so if you don't like that, then this might not be for you. But my nails and cuticles have been looking better while using this, or I have been tricking my mind. It also comes with a good amount of product and is only are 6 or 7 dollars. 

Sinful Colors Blue By You: This color is gorgous! I just can't get over it, but it smells terrible though... which sucks. But I still love the color.

The middle blue on is Sinful Colors Blue By You. It doesn't capture the picture pretty enough.

Stila Smudge Stick Eyeliner in Peacock: Beautiful gorgeous blue slightly tealish blue color. The color doesn't disappoint! This is actually in my project 10 pan because I think I am pretty close to finishing it, it in is one of those packages where you can't twist it down after you twist it up, which epically sucks because I didn't know this when I first got this. I twisted it up and wasted a lot of product... urg. Don't think I will repurchase because it is like 20 dollars for a twist up pencil, I am thinking of getting a two faced pencil that looks a lot of this, but an actual pencil, so more product and is like two dollars cheaper.

Sonia Kashuk lip pencil in Petal: Not a very good picture, but anyway this is a beautiful lip pencil. It is a very nice pink, slightly a bit more darker than my own natural lip color and more pick. I really like this color don't know what else to say...

November Empties

 

I am just going to jump right into my november favorites.

 

 

First off, things that are not fully finished:

Nyx Concealer in a Jar: I have just had this for too long and I don't think it is sanitary to keep anymore. I did use a good bit of it. I wouldn't repurchase though. Wasn't the greatest for me.

 

E.l.f. Zit Zapper: This is almost gone, and for $1 I really liked it, don't think it is anything super amazing though. Also, I feel like this is no longer sanitary, I kinda feel like it breaks me out instead of helping...

Neutrogena Oil-Free Ance Wash: I really liked this, my face felt really nice while using it, wouldn't repurchase thought because their parent company tests...

Clean and Clear Dual Action Moisturizer: I really liked this too, over time I ended up needing two pumps instead of one. Also I would just like to say that I love that it comes with a pump! Would probably repurchase if they didn't test.

Dove Cleartone Deodorant: I do think that this did help lighten my underarms, average in all other ways. They test, so no repurchasing for me.

Eos lipbalm in Strawberry and Lip Smackers Skittles Strawberry lipbalm: more on this in my project 10 pan update

Orofluido Elixir: Hair oil/ serum, it was nice, don't know if I agree with the price it is asking for for the full size. I did like it though.I got this in a birchbox a long time ago... finally found out what exactly hair oils are and what they do...

L'oreal Revitalift Moisturizer: Can't really say anything about this...

Things I would take to New York with me if I left today

 

 

 

Okay, so in April I will be going to New York for the first time. I do plan on doing a post on what makeup I take with me, but this post is about what I would take with me if I left today. Granted I did choose these like a month ago and just got to doing this post now... sorry. Also, I didn't want to take too many things, as you may see. Oh, and this is with my school, with the band.

 

Face Things!

Revlon Colorstay Pressed Powder: I actually have never used this yet, I am waiting to finish up my elf correction complection before I start to use this. This is just to slightly mattify my face and to slightly even out my skin tone. Also to set the concealer. For me I am perfectly fine with using stuff like this. I don't really use foundation much, which is why I am not taking any with me.

 

Revlon Photoready Concealer: This is my go to concealer at the moment, I love this for under the eyes, now I will be perfectly honest and say that this doesn't correct anything so it may not be a one step thing for under the eyes for some people. But it does help improve under my eyes slightly and that is more than nothing :)

 

Nyx Powder Blush in Peach: This is one of my favorite blushes, it is almost impossible to put too much on. It also looks good with like anything :) For a more in depth review on the color go too my top 5 favorite blushes or whatever that post may be called.

 

 

Eyes:



Urban Decay Naked Palette: You all probably know about this palette, this will just give me enough variety to choose from in all the same place.

 

Tarte Amazonian Clay Cream Shadow in Shimmering Golden Beige: For a nice easy thing to wear, I can wear it alone or under other shadows. If I am in a hurry or lazy I can just resort to this :)

 

Too Faced Shadow Insurance: I haven't used this yet, I am waiting to use up my mini UDPP before I do. This I am taking to prime my eyes for eye shadow, idk what else to say about it...

 

Revlon Grow Lusious Mascara: One of my favorite mascaras and I have a backup of it whose time to be used will fall in the around april time.

Revlon Just Biten Lipstain: So I can wear this when playing my instrument. Lipstain pens are the only thing I am okay with wearing when playing my flute, mainly cause it doesn't transfer onto the flute.

 

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip balm stain in Honey: To add some color, and if I am in the mood. To create options.

 

Liplicious Lipgloss in Whipped Vanilla: Perfect, easy to wear, everyday lipgloss that smells and tastes amazing

 

Purlisse lip comfort: So I have chapstick and to use it up. Not in love with it btw.

 

 

I also really wanted to do this post to compare with when I do end up going, it will be nice to see what I actually end up taking and what I don't.

 

Project 10 Pan Update

 

So it has been about two or three weeks since my project 10 pan has started. Some of the pictures have terrible lighting and I haven't found out how to put pictures side by side so... you get to see the comparisons on how much I have used from one picture above the other. I haven't bought any makeup yet :) Anyway, onto the post!
